The MaterialCotton, a vegetable fiber, is widely used in rugs because of its sturdiness and strength. It also has the ability to stay white over long periods of time, and doesn’t yellow like other commonly used fibers, which will preserve the crispness and vibrancy of the design for many years to come.
The SupplierOur partner began in 1991 with one weaver, and today employs more than 450. Their mission is to keep alive the cultural legacy of a heritage craft that’s been practiced by tribal communities for generations—in addition to creating livelihood options for a large community of weavers in the rural landscape of Nagaland and adjoining states.
