We made a better washable rug. The Field Collection offers a modern take on traditional Turkish motifs, done in tonal colors and textures. Their pile is—we cannot emphasize this enough—divinely soft. This collection has a slightly lower pile than most of our recycled polyester washable rugs, which makes their yarn a little less shiny. It also makes it a bit easier to fit them in your washing machine.
The DesignPitrak means burdock in Turkish, and is the primary motif of this rug. Traditionally woven into kilims and rugs, this plant is said to be capable of warding off bad luck. It also represents abundance, since it grows easily and quickly—it's also frequently used on bags of flour for this reason.
The MaterialThese pieces are made with recycled polyester left over from production companies who manufacture polymers for textiles, medical, and engineering purposes, and which would otherwise end up in a landfill. The polyester runoff is transformed through heat into a soft, sustainable fiber with the look and feel of wool. Our recycled poly is highly durable, OEKO-TEX certified for safety, mildew-resistant and machine-washable.
The MakerOur partner in Turkey began as a small family-owned weaving house over 50 years ago, with only two looms. Today, they're recognized as an award-winning leader in weaving technology, even making their own yarn for their various types of textile production.
The DesignerOur in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.

- When it's time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on delicate with 1 TBSP of gentle detergent.
- For size 5' x 8' we recommend using a 60lb (8cu ft) commercial washing machine, for 6' x 9' we recommend an 80lb (11.5cu ft) commercial washing machine, and for 8' x 10' we recommend a 100lb (13.5cu ft) commercial washing machine. Please call your local laundromat ahead of time to determine if the right washer size is available.
- For sizes 9' x 12' and above, spot or dry clean.
- Preferably line dry. Alternatively, tumble dry on no or low heat setting.
- If your rug is heavily soiled, or if it's tough to find a laundromat, dry cleaning is recommended
